Despite being busy before the holidays, the staff was very friendly. Very pleased with the selection of chocolates, cookies and various breads and other desserts. Amazing locally owned business!

Tradition for valentines day to pick out assorted chocolates and a pretty box...been doing that for years..they are organized and ready to take care of their customers..not to mention chocolates are delicious!

They have great chocolate's for nearly any occasion you might need. I was impressed with the variety, friendly service, and choices. I will definitely be brining the family back on future trips!

It was amazing! I felt like i was in wilky Wonkas house, the had so many different chocolates high hill shoes,cell phone's,flower pits and tools all made from chocolates and its great to eat!

All of the candy is top notch, and I can't say enough about the caramel apple pie. I recently went to Manderfield's bakery for the first time so I would have something to compare to Vande Walle's, and Vande Walle's is FAR superior in every way. I absolutely adore Vande Walle's.

VANDE WALLES CANDY in Appleton, Order their Angelfood Candy in milk chocolate, simply phenomenal, I make a great Angelfood candy but mine does not compare to Vande Walles, it's a seasonal item, think around Xmas time, weather is too humid in spring and summer to make.

The caramels are addictive and when they use them for caramel apples 😍

I love this business. Wonderful candy and friendly staff. Handcrafted deliciousness for gifts. Ridiculous. I'm so glad places like this still exist. Receiving a boxes meltaways or caramel from vandewalle's (via Appleton family) has always been important part of the Christmas season for us California.Popping in the store in person recently was like reaching the chocolate headwaters. Joyous.

Maybe more of a novelty chocolate shop than truly original creations, but the kids liked it. Nice baked goods too.

Always greeted by friendly, polite staff who present delicious samples, provide professional service, with probably the most delicious handmade treats in all of the Valley.

Great candy and cakes. We had our wedding cake made here 25 years ago and have been getting all our birthday cakes here since then. Whether you are looking for a cake or a specialty type cake or cheesecake they have a great selection ready to go or to be custom made to your preferences. Great, now I'm hungry for cake after writing this review and have to get a slice of birthday cake.

Delicious! Pricey I think however, worth the price

I am a former long time customer. Entire store was empty besides my group. Both employees did not recognize our presence and offer assistance. When we asked where to find a certain type of candy, they did not have any idea and pointed in a different direction and turned their back on us again. As a result, we left the store and will not be back. Please learn better customer service, especially when nobody else is in the store.

Fantastic variety of chocolate and candy. So much to choose from - we were here for over half an hour trying to decide what to get. Chocolate covered potato chips were awesome!

The ice cream is excellent. The sea salt carmels are the best

Everything here is great. Their frosted cookies are addicting! Angelfood candy and toffee always tastes fresh. They also have sugarfree options and cater to special orders. Its nice that they offer a factory tour and free samples.

Ordered chocolates from here to be sent to my mom for her birthday. Wasn’t sure whether they’d make it on time as I was ordering during quarantine. Not only did they make it on time, with a cute note that I requested, but they even refunded me $5 after they shipped them at a lower cost than anticipated. Called and left me a voicemail to let me know what the refund was for. That is unheard of and I’m so excited to have found an awesome local business that I had to leave a review. Will definitely continue to support in the future! Thanks so much, y’all!!

The best chocolate shop in the state!

Growing up in Michigan, anytime we came to Appleton we would stop at Vande Walle's. I always loved the angel food candy. I moved to Appleton last year and decided to make a stop for Valentine's day. It was nice to have a couple samples in the store as I was browsing. I got a bag of angel food, some peanut butter sticks, sea salt caramels as a gift, and an assortment of milk covered peanuts and cashews. I grabbed a ticket and after seeing several people come in after me and get help, I realized they were not using the ticket numbers. I waited for at least 10 minutes before I got help, and when I asked for chocolates, the employee then said they didn't have any boxes in the front and had to go get more. This took about 5 more minutes. I spent over 50 dollars and was very disappointed in the candy. The prices are quite high and I found them to be nothing more than average. Definitely not worth the price in my opinion, as I've had much better chocolate. Such a bummer.

Would do your personal shopping there for you anytime. Coconut clusters are wonderful. They toast the coconut before drenching it in chocolate. Lots of cute chocolate items. Pies and bakery as great. Carmel apple, blueberry, pecan are all wonderful. Decorated cakes and creamy smooth cheesecake Make a decision difficult. Ice cream base is from supplier in neenah so it's a very local merchant. AND they have SAMPLES!!!!

Best place for chocolate.

One of my very good friends brought me here one weekend and I've been there 3 times after that visit. Samples galore. Very friendly staff. Just an all around adorable candy shop. Not to mention a lot of other goodies. Very dangerous to go on an empty stomach. You've been warned. 😉

Great chocolate, but the teenage employees are snotty. Maybe get a better attitude and I'll come back more often.
